These individuals must have been a member of the football team, and must have a minimum of 12 hours of enrollment during the fall. The Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who have recorded a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the Fall 2022 semester. A total of 279 student-athletes received the award this year. The Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, requires a minimum GPA of 3.2 for the previous two semesters (freshmen are not eligible). Missouri State's honorees are: Caden Bolz, Jahod Booker, Jacob Clark, Gary Clinton, Sean Fitzgerald, Grant Goodson, Hess Horne, Celdon Manning and Terique Owens. While the conference cannot play a full round robin each season, it should be noted that every MVFC institution plays every other MVFC institution at least two-thirds of the time in a six-year cycle (at least four out of every six seasons), supporting continuation of league identity and increasing competitive fairness over time. There will be 12 MVFC institutions in 2023 with the addition of Murray State. League members will play eight conference games each year.
